Senior Students – IGCSE

  • Most of the IGCSE subjects are offered at three levels: the Ordinary Level (OL) followed by the Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS). The highest level is the Advanced Level (AL). Students who wish to study the A Level subject can either take the two parts in one exam session, or the AS part in one session and the A2 part in a following one, which is to be taken within thirteen months.
  • In addition to the IGCSE subjects, SFS offers its students Arabic, Social Studies, Religion, PE, ICT and Art.
  • OL subjects offered at SFS include Accounting, Arabic as the First Language, Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Economics, English as the Second Language, French, English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Travel and Tourism, Information Technology, Sociology, French/German, and Human Biology.

Senior Students – IGCSE

  • Advanced Subsidiary subjects offered at SFS include Accounting AS, Business Studies AS, Economics AS, English AS, Art and Design AS, French AS, Information Technology AS, Biology AS, Computer Sciences AS, Chemistry AS, Mathematics AS, Physics AS, and Psychology AS
  • Advanced Level subjects include Accounting AL, Business Studies AL, Biology AL, Chemistry AL, French AL, Mathematics AL, Arabic AL, Economics AL, Physics AL, ICT AL, Computer Sciences AL, English as the Second Language AL, and Psychology AL.
  • OL examinations offered by Pearson-Edexcel (in Arabic as the First Language and Human Biology) and Oxford AQA (in English as the Second Language) Examination Boards are also conducted by SFS independently. In 2022 St. Fatima School-Nasr City received the status of Pearson-Edexcel and Oxford AQA Independent International Center.

Senior Students – IGCSE

  • All the O.L. and A.S./A.L. qualifications offered by CIE are conducted and administered by SFS independently in the School venues.
  • SFS High School curriculum includes a thorough coverage of each subject, as well as the linguistic, social, religious, sports, and cultural development content that is needed to succeed in today’s diverse society with its local and global influences.
  • The school year is divided into two examination sessions: the June and November Examination Series.
  • The school year starts in September for the June session and in June for the November session.
  • Hence, each student is given a chance of five examination sessions to complete their graduation requirements during their high school studies.
  • The evaluation is done per subject, while the overall evaluation is given once after a student completes all his/her subjects.

  • Senior Students – IGCSE
    • SFS High School comprises Y10, Y11, and Y12 students.
    • In Y10, the students are offered five IGCSE qualifications, including Mathematics, English as the Second Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Computer Science/French/Arabic as the First language. Thus, students have taken five IGCSE subjects by the end of Y10.
    • Y11 and Y12 students take three other IGCSE subjects mandatory and AL/AS subjects optionally.
    • On average, the number of IGCSE courses taken per student is eight.
    • An average number of AL courses per student is one; an average number of AS courses per student is two.
