Art

  • Although academic benefits are not prominently developed from art integration into the curriculum, researchers have found that the latter impacts on students’ self-esteem and self-confidence.
  • SFS art program develops students’ sense of art and artistic skills through projects that develop their imagination and creativity.
  • It allows students to express their ideas in forms of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media; it also helps them reflect their personality.
  • Art Program is directed by experienced teachers who, with the help of students, decorate the School classrooms, corridors and playground.

Playgrounds

  • The School spacious playgrounds, including the football, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as the necessary equipment available, allow our students to stay active.
  • In addition, the School has a heated and covered swimming pool, as well as a fully equipped gymnasium that is managed by professional trainers.
  • All the students’ activities in the sports facilities are strictly supervised by our qualified staff members.
  • Students can also use the playgrounds as a reception area during the school breaks. The wide space of our playgrounds is also used for special events, like Sports Days during the academic year
  • Besides the fitness sessions offered to our students, we strongly encourage those who engage in any physical activities or specific sports outside the School.
  • Students who take part of championships in any sport are academically rewarded by a certain percentage that is added to their final grade.

Sports Facilities (the courts, indoor swimming pools and the gym).

  • SFS believes that physical activity is extremely important for the overall development of students. True education should aim at developing an all-round personality. It means that education should result in the mental, moral, and physical development of the child without a compromise.
  • Sports Program is developed under the direction of the physical education teachers. They do not only implement the sports program, but also arrange interclass and interschool matches and tournaments.
  • SFS Sports Program enables the students to develop their physical competence and self-esteem.

Trips

  • It is of primary importance to get students out of their desks and away from their books, and to give them direct, vivid, sensory experience with the world around them.
  • SFS strongly believes that field trips give students a good opportunity to make observations and have experiences not accessible to them in the classroom, but directly related to the crucial knowledge acquired in the classroom.
  • During the academic year we plan many trips for our students to allow them to change the routine and explore the world.
  • Our planned educational trips help students get thrilled about learning. They give students opportunities for experimental knowledge.
  • SFS organizes three to four trips a year to different places. Students would spend one day on the Red Sea beach, and another day in an amusement park, or the full-board Nile Cruise!
