Cambridge Beacon School Award (2002, 2003, and 2004)

In 2002, 2003 and 2004, SFS received the Cambridge Beacon School Award for three consecutive years in recognition of its significant achievements and its exemplar role in supporting CIE programmes in Egypt. “I thank them [SFS] for their continuing support and commitment as we continue to raise standards at private schools in Egypt following CIE syllabuses and assessments. I am assured that their success will inspire others to be considered for a future Cambridge Beacon School Award,” said Mr. Paul Lewis, CIE’s Ex- Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

February 4, 2003: The first Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by HE Mr. John Sawers CMG, British Ambassador of Egypt, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.

  • March 9, 2004: The second Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Mr. Ken Murray, Chief Executive Officer, University of Cambridge International Examinations, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.
  • March 15, 2005: The third Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Mr. Tom Austin, Director of Business Planning and Marketing, University of Cambridge International Examinations, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.

Some of the criteria considered for presenting the award were the following:

a.•  local assistance in supporting CIE syllabi and assessments;

b.•  inspection outcomes with regard to school premises, teaching standards, and extracurricular activities;

c.•  school teachers professional development and training;

d.•  examination results record.

Edexcel International School Award (2005)

  • In 2005, Edexcel International Board awarded the School in recognition of becoming an official London Examinations International Centre of Learning No. 91201. The award was presented with a plaque and certificate.

Cambridge International Fellowship Centre Status (2006)

  • In March, 2006, the CIE awarded the Cambridge International Fellowship Centre Status to the School. This prestigious status, awarded to only a few schools across the world, was granted in recognition of
  • the commitment of the School to ensuring that its students receive the very highest standard of education,
  • the record of scholastic excellence, and just as important,
  • the policy of developing in students the values of self-discipline, and the worth of social and moral
    values.
  • The award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Ms. Ann Puntis, Chief Executive Officer of the University of Cambridge international Examinations.

Edexcel Award (2008)

A remarkable ‘Edexcel High Achievers Award Ceremony’ took place on December 4, 2008. During the Ceremony, Edexcel International awarded three SFS candidates for scoring the highest all over the world in Arabic as the First Language in the June 2008 examination session.

CIE and British Council Award (2009)

  • In March 2009, SFS received a special award from CIE and the British Council on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the IGCSE/GCE in Egypt. That appreciation award celebrated SFS as the first school that introduced the IGCSE qualifications in Egypt. Besides, it recognized the School contribution in establishing models of best practice in IGCSE/GCE and generating opportunities for individuals to fulfil their potential. The award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Mr. Paul Smith, Ex-Director of British Council in Egypt.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2009)

  • During the award ceremony organized under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador by both the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations on March 15, 2009, six of our students were awarded for the 2008 examination session:
  • three Top Achievers in Cairo in ‘l.G.C.S.E. Chemistry’, ‘AL Biology’, and ‘AL Chemistry’; • three Top Achievers in Egypt in ‘I.G.C.S.E. Economics’.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2010)

  • The award ceremony was organized under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador by both the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations. It was held at the British Embassy on March 24, 2010. Among 33 High Achievers from 90 schools offering I.G.C.S.E. in Egypt, seven SFS students were awarded for the 2009 examination session as High Achievers:

1) Top in Egypt in ‘I.G.C.S.E. Foreign Language French’

2) Top in Cairo in ‘I.G.C.S.E. Chemistry’

3) The same student came out on top in Cairo in ‘I.G.C.S.E. in Information and Communication

Technology (ICT)’, and in ‘AS. Applied ICT’;

4) Top in Cairo in ‘AS Level Biology’;

5) Top in Egypt ‘Best Across Two Cambridge International AS Levels’. 6) Top in Cairo in ‘A Level Chemistry’;

7) Top in ‘Creativity and Art’.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2011)

  • Several SFS students were awarded for the 2010 and 2011 examination sessions during the award ceremony organized under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador by both the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations on Monday, December 5, 2011.
  • Among the global IGCSE community, five of our IGCSE students were awarded as the:
    1) Top in the World in ‘Mathematics’ and Top in Egypt in ‘Sociology’ (the same student); 2) Top in Egypt in ‘Biology’;
    3) Top in Egypt in ‘Physics’;
    4) Top in Egypt in ‘Chemistry’;
    5) Top in Egypt in ‘Art and Design’.
  • Among Cambridge International AS Level candidates, seven of our students were awarded as the: 1) Top in Egypt in ‘Chemistry’ and Top in Cairo in ‘Biology’ (the same student);
    2) Top in Egypt in ‘Accounting’;
    3) Top in Cairo in ‘Chemistry’;
    4) Top in Cairo in ‘Applied ICT’ for 2010 Examination Session;

5) Top in Cairo in “Applied ICT” for 2011 Examination Session;

6) High Achievement in “English Language”;

7) High Achievement in “French Language”.

  • Among Cambridge International A-Level, three of our students were awarded as the:

 1) Top in Egypt in ‘Mathematics’;

2) Top in Egypt in ‘Chemistry’;

 3) Top in Egypt in ‘Physics’.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2013)

  • During the award ceremony organized under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador by both the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, two of our students were awarded as the:

1) Top in Egypt in ‘I.G.C.S.E. Mathematics’;

2) Top in Egypt in ‘A Level Chemistry’ and ‘Best Across Three Cambridge International A-Levels’ in Egypt (the same

student).

  • We are also proud to announce that SFS was nominated as the Top School in Egypt for the following:
  • examining the highest number of IGCSE candidates; • meeting the highest standards in education.
  • being one of the first schools to offer C.P.P.

British Council and Pearson Edexcel Highest Achievers Award (2015)

  • During the award ceremony organized by both the British Council and Pearson Edexcel on February 10, 2015, two of our students were awarded for the 2014 examination session for the:
  • Highest International Subject Mark in ‘Arabic First Language’;
  • Highest International Subject Mark in ‘Arabic First Language’.

Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2015)

  • During the award ceremony organized under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador, along with the British Council Director and Cambridge International Examinations Chief Executive Officer, by both the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations on March 10, 2015, seven our students were awarded for the 2014 examination session.
  • Two of our I.G.C.S.E. students were awarded as the:
    1) Top in the World in ‘Mathematics’ and Top in Cairo in ‘Physics’ (the same student);

2) Top in Egypt in ‘English as the Second Language’.

  • Three of our Cambridge International AS-Level students were awarded as the:

1) Top in Egypt in ‘Applied ICT’;
2) Top in Cairo in ‘Biology’;
3) Top in Cairo in ‘Mathematics’.

  • Two of our Cambridge International A-Level students were awarded as the:

1) Top in Egypt in ‘Applied ICT’;
2) Top in Cairo in ‘Mathematics’.

Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards Egypt / June- 2018 ceremony

  • The British Council in Egypt and Cambridge International hosted their annual event celebrating the ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards’ in the Cairo Opera House where nine of our students were awarded for their phenomenal achievement in various qualifications.

First Place in Recycling Championship

  • The Ministry of Environment of Egypt celebrated the recycling championship, and awarded our students for winning the first place for the second year in a row. We are super proud of our students! There is nothing better than raising an active generation that is looking after the environment and having a role in the community.

Annual Saint Fatima School Awards

  • In addition to all the above-mentioned awards and ceremonies, SFS recognizes its students’ achievements through an annual on-campus ceremony. During this event, all the high achievers are announced and awarded by Mr. Nader Younan, the School’s Chairman and Superintendent.
  • Congratulations to all of us! This success is the outcome of all of the Administrators’, Teachers’, and Students’ hard work.
