Cambridge Beacon School Award (2002, 2003, and 2004)
SFS won the Cambridge Beacon School Award for three consecutive years (2002-2004) for its excellence in supporting CIE programs in Egypt. Paul Lewis, former CIE Director for the Middle East and North Africa, praised their dedication to raising standards in private schools and expressed confidence that their success would inspire others. The award was presented based on several criteria, including local support for CIE syllabi and assessments, inspection outcomes related to school facilities, teaching standards, extracurricular activities, the professional development and training of teachers, and the school’s record of examination results.
- February 4, 2003: The first Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by HE Mr. John Sawers CMG, British Ambassador of Egypt, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.
- March 9, 2004: The second Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Mr. Ken Murray, Chief Executive Officer, University of Cambridge International Examinations, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.
- March 15, 2005: The third Cambridge Beacon School Award was presented with a plaque and certificate by Mr. Tom Austin, Director of Business Planning and Marketing, University of Cambridge International Examinations, during a ceremony held at the British Embassy in Cairo.


Edexcel International School Award (2005)
The Edexcel International Board recognized the school as an official London Examinations International Centre of Learning (No. 91201), awarding it with a prestigious plaque and certificate in honor of this achievement.
CITA accreditation (2005)
Saint Fatima School in Nasr City achieved a significant milestone with the CITA accreditation in 2005. This endorsement confirmed the school’s high academic standards, quality education, and excellence in curriculum and teaching. It reassured students, parents, and stakeholders of the institution’s adherence to international benchmarks. The 2005 achievement continues to drive ongoing excellence and innovation in teaching and learning at Saint Fatima School.
Cambridge International Fellowship Centre Status (2006)
In March 2006, CIE awarded the school the prestigious Cambridge International Fellowship Centre Status, a distinction granted to only a select few schools worldwide. This recognition was a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to providing students with the highest standard of education, its record of academic excellence, and its dedication to instilling values of self-discipline and strong social and moral principles. The award was presented by Ms. Ann Puntis, Chief Executive Officer of the University of Cambridge International Examinations, along with a commemorative plaque and certificate.
Edexcel Award (2008)
A remarkable ‘Edexcel High Achievers Award Ceremony’ took place on December 4, 2008. During the ceremony, Edexcel International awarded three SFS candidates for achieving the highest scores in the world in Arabic as a First Language in the June 2008 examination session.
CIE and British Council Award (2009)
In March 2009, SFS was honored with a special award from CIE and the British Council in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the IGCSE/GCE qualifications in Egypt. This prestigious recognition highlighted SFS as the pioneering institution that first introduced the IGCSE qualifications in the country. It also acknowledged the school’s significant contributions to establishing best practices in IGCSE/GCE education and creating opportunities for students to reach their full potential. The award was presented by Mr. Paul Smith, former Director of the British Council in Egypt, along with a commemorative plaque and certificate.
Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2009)
At an award ceremony held on March 15, 2009, under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador and organized by the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations, six SFS students were honored for their outstanding performance in the 2008 examination session. Three students achieved the highest scores in Cairo in IGCSE Chemistry, AL Biology, and AL Chemistry, while three others were recognized as top achievers in Egypt for IGCSE Economics.
Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2010)
On March 24, 2010, the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations, under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador, hosted an awards ceremony at the British Embassy to honor exceptional student achievements. Among 33 High Achievers from 90 schools offering IGCSE in Egypt, seven SFS students were recognized for their outstanding performance in the 2009 examination session. Their accolades included top rankings in Egypt for IGCSE Foreign Language French and Best Across Two Cambridge International AS Levels, as well as top rankings in Cairo for IGCSE Chemistry, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), AS Level Biology, A Level Chemistry, and Creativity and Art.


Advanc-ED Accreditation (2010)
This accreditation highlights Saint Fatima School’s dedication to high educational standards and ongoing improvement. It confirms the robust curriculum, quality instruction, and strong institutional performance, establishing the school as a leader in academic excellence. This recognition boosts the school’s reputation and assures students, parents, and stakeholders of its commitment to international education benchmarks.
Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2011)
On December 5, 2011, an award ceremony was held under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador, organized by the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations, to honor outstanding achievements in the 2010 and 2011 examination sessions. Several SFS students were recognized for their exceptional performance among the global IGCSE community. One student achieved the prestigious title of Top in the World in Mathematics and Top in Egypt in Sociology, while others earned top rankings in Egypt for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Art and Design.
At the Cambridge International AS Level, seven students were celebrated for their excellence, with distinctions including Top in Egypt for Chemistry and Accounting, Top in Cairo for Biology, Chemistry, and Applied ICT across two consecutive years, and High Achievement awards in English and French Language.
In the Cambridge International A-Level category, three students earned Top in Egypt titles for Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, further cementing SFS’s legacy of academic excellence.
Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2013)
On January 28, 2014, an award ceremony was held under the auspices of His Excellency the British Ambassador, organized by the British Council and Cambridge International Examinations, to celebrate academic excellence. Two SFS students received top honors: one was recognized as Top in Egypt in IGCSE Mathematics, while another achieved Top in Egypt in A-Level Chemistry and the prestigious Best Across Three Cambridge International A-Levels award.
In addition to these outstanding individual achievements, SFS was proudly nominated as the Top School in Egypt for examining the highest number of IGCSE candidates, maintaining the highest standards in education, and being one of the first schools to offer the Cambridge Primary Programme (CPP).
British Council and Pearson Edexcel Highest Achievers Award (2015)
At the award ceremony organized by the British Council and Pearson Edexcel on February 10, 2015, two SFS students were honored for their outstanding academic performance in the 2014 examination session. Both students achieved the Highest International Subject Mark in Arabic as a First Language, showcasing their exceptional dedication and excellence in the subject.


Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (2015)
At the prestigious award ceremony held on March 10, 2015, under the patronage of His Excellency the British Ambassador, alongside the British Council Director and Cambridge International Examinations Chief Executive Officer, seven SFS students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in the 2014 examination session.
Among our IGCSE students:
- One student achieved Top in the World in Mathematics and Top in Cairo in Physics.
- Another student earned Top in Egypt in English as a Second Language.
Among our Cambridge International AS-Level students:
- One student was named Top in Egypt in Applied ICT.
- Another student earned Top in Cairo in Biology.

Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards Egypt (2018)
The British Council in Egypt and Cambridge International hosted the annual Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards at the Cairo Opera House, celebrating exceptional academic achievements. During this prestigious event, nine SFS students were recognized for their outstanding performance across various qualifications, reaffirming the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student success on an international level.
First Place in Recycling Championship (2019)
The Ministry of Environment of Egypt honored our students for securing first place in the Recycling Championship for the second consecutive year. This remarkable achievement reflects their dedication to sustainability and community engagement. Reaccreditation of the American Division by Cognia (2020)
In 2020, the American Division’s reaccreditation by Cognia represented a notable event in maintaining educational standards. This process included an extensive evaluation of curriculum, teaching methods, student services, and institutional performance. Reaccreditation confirms the commitment to academic standards and provides guidelines for continuous enhancement, ensuring students receive an up-to-date, competitive education. It supports efforts to promote innovative learning, ethical practices, and community engagement, establishing the American Division as a participant in educational quality.

Cambridge Independent Center Status (2021)
In 2021, St. Fatima School became a Cambridge Independent Center, joining a network of Cambridge schools focused on preparing young learners for future success. By meeting the quality standards set by Cambridge International, St. Fatima is now among the independent schools in Egypt. This achievement also initiated the school’s administration of the first series of Cambridge exams, scheduled for November 2021.
Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards Egypt (2022)
Launch of the “أتكلم عربي” Campaign (2022)
Launched at St. Fatima’s Nasr City campus in 2022, the “أتكلم عربي” campaign is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Emigration. Attended by Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education, and Ambassador Nabila Makram Abd El Shahid, Minister of Emigration, the campaign, endorsed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, aims to foster national identity and encourage students to celebrate Egypt’s heritage.
Academic and Professional Achievements (2022/2023)
St. Fatima was honoured by Cambridge in the 2022-2023 exams in Cairo for the highest number of entries. The school was also recognized for its excellent professional development training workshops, making it one of Egypt’s top institutions.
